Locating Defects on Fiber Optic Lines
The Fiber Checker is used for checking the defects of a fiber cable.
It sends a visible 650 nm wavelength red laser light through fiber optic cables, the breaks or faults in the fiber will refract the light, creating a bright glow around the faulty area.
The universal connector can be used for all the most widespread fiber interfaces such as ST / SC / FC connector. It is suitable to test both Singlemode and Multimode cables. With an optional 2.5 mm to 1.25 mm adapter, users can even test for 1.25 mm fiber LC / MU connector. The visibility is up to 3 km.
Internally there is also a specifically designed power circuit included; the APC (Auto Power Control) circuit provides steady power which avoids unstable laser output when the battery is low.
The LD output signal can be switched on Continuous Wave or Pulse Mode to obtain different visual effects. There is a dust proof cover which will prevent dust from getting into the inside of the LD connector. The cover also helps evade incidental exposure of the laser directly into your eyes.

Multi-functional Fiber Optic Light Source
The Light Source is a handy tool and instrument to provide you several different wavelengths to test the fiber equipment in the optical network and FTTx construction. The Light Source is ideal for field or laboratory testing of optical communication system at 850 nm / 1300 nm for datacom testing, 1310 nm / 1550 nm / CWDM 1270 nm ~ 1610 nm ( 20 nm spans ) for all WDM testing , as well as 1490 nm for FTTx testing by changing the interchangeable SFP module.
The Light Source features zero warm up, superb productivity and is easy to use with pocket-size and rugged and handy design.
Using a suitable patch cord, the Light Source can be used for all the most widespread fiber interfaces such as LC / ST / SC / FC connector. It is suitable to test both Singlemode and Multimode cables.

Signal Budget Measuring on Fiber Optic Lines
The Fiber Meter is mainly used for checking the signal output power of the optical communication equipment in fiber optic networks. It measures the average power of a continuous light beam which emits from the equipments or other optic sources. It measures power in both 850 nm / 1300 nm (Multimode) and 1310 nm / 1490 nm / 1550 nm (Singlemode) respectively.
The Fiber Meter consists of a solid state InGaAs photo diode, signal power measurement circuitry, and a 2 digit s / 3 digits LED display. Users just connect a fiber cable between the transmission port of the equipment and the universal interface on the Fiber Meter. (Or connect to other light source) The product will show the exact amount of the received power value (in -dBm).
